Farewells

(photo i stole from alvin’s blog. so thanks alvin. :P )

I guess farewells and goodbyes are inevitable in life.

Whether if its a good friend, or a dear teacher, or even your childhood comfort blanket,

there is bound to be a moment to bid farewell to them whether you like it or not.

admit it. life’s too short for any regrets.

so treasure your friends, treasure evrything around you. treasure your life.

Reminiscent the past.

Exhaustion

Alright, its the first day of school today (term 3). Was doing my homework until now. Can you imagine? Homework on the first day of school? Gee. Anyway, had to take a break, so what better way to do so while improving your english and expressing your emotions?

Anyway, been through even more thinking and I still cannot understand why I am born in Singapore. Out of the 6627281222 people in the world now, as of 26th June 2006 (and believe me, the numbers are jumping every second), what are the chances of being born in Singapore? An island that is not even a dot on the world map? 4million over 6627281222(god knows how much is that)!!! That means the pecentage of being born in Singapore on the entire Earth is 0.0603…%!!!! I mean! That’s lesser than ONE! The world out there is huge! Why can’t I be born in the United States, or in Australia, or somewhere in Europe. Japan would be much better too! I am not trying to make a fuss here but hey, what are the chances? These countries are WAY bigger than Singapore and so are their country’s POPULATION. Don’t you wish you were born in somewhere else? Its all in the figures. Here’s America’s population. 295,734,134! Thats about 5% of the world’s population. Thats much much higher than Singapore which means theoretically I should have a higher chance to be born in America.

Well, I guess to conclude, if there are such things as reincarnations and rebirths, I do hope I get to be born in somewhere else in the world. Anywhere will do, somewhere with 4 seasons…

The calm before the storm. Yea Right.

Like how it would always be painstakingly quiet and cool before a storm, one would expect the weeks before the final year examinations to take on some sort of a similar paradigm shift of this analogy, or so to speak. But as I’m writing these, I am utterly tired, both mentally and physically. No matter the long weekends, or the breaks, or even the early dismissals, the homework just keeps on coming, not leaving any space for a breather or even ample time to begin my revision.

I’m exhausted. And now I know why exhausted is called exhausted. The word itself is a mouthful to pronunciate and the whole word just gives out a vibe that yells give me a break. So much for growing up. But the whole thought that I’m not gonna be a successful person in the future just freaks me out.

I can’t be confined in a cubicle in a office working 9 to 5 every single day, 5 days of a week. That just ain’t right and I will make sure that that won’t happen. That’s plain disgusting if you ask me. So yeah, better study hard now aye? 先苦后甜.

Oh, and I wonder what Michael Phelps is doing now.

Phelps bags all 8

Just finished watching the finals for the 4×100m medley race and Michael Phelps successfully bags his 8th gold medal. It’s a historic moment and I seriously doubt anyone will even be able to beat his record. This year’s Beijing Olympics has gotta be all about swimming.

My date with Michael Phelps

Alright, so today, I missed my ‘LIVE’ date with Michael Phelps over the TV as I was in school when he swam for the 200m freestyle finals.

But thanks to Today in Beijing, I managed to get back my few minutes worth with him as I watched him clinched his 3rd gold medal for this game. And mark my words, I will see him get all 8, even if I have to miss school. Lol.

Anyway, Michael Phelps is truly an impressive swimmer and its just simply awe inspiring seeing him swim each time.

And isn’t it amazing how all the world records are getting smashed in this Olympic games?

I need to bring a portable TV to school.
