Absolutely random

Surprise, surprise.

So I managed to come up with a new post with this sudden spur of insipiration running through my veins.

I guess you can call it an andrenaline rush of sorts, which will pass as soon as it comes. So I’ll try to pen it down pronto. Albeit, as how there’s always two sides to everything, it’s gonna be an extremely random post. Not all that random though I suppose, as I put more thought into it; I would argue to say that it’s random discoveries of yours truly.

So I realised I’m a huge fiction fan. The idea never really did settle in me since the PTC I had in Sec 2, when my teacher asked me pointedly what kind of books I read after she looked at my English grades. She also pointed out my liking for ficton and suggested to me that it was perhaps time to switch to another genre. I admit though; that never did materialise. Harry Potter is much too alluring for me to put down. And the closest I’d ever gotten to non-fiction is perhaps The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons, and we all know how real they are.

I guess my liking for fictatious books, be it fantasy, sci fi, thrillers or what not, is pretty much attributed to the fact that I read to indulge myself, and of course to widen my vocabulary. For ME, the whole point of reading is for me to get lost in an imaginary world where anything and everything can happen. Books don’t serve me well when they wish to inform. This probably justifies my TV addiction as well, which I admit is not as heavy as it once was… Another genre of books simply defeats the purpose of what I hope to achive through reading.

Which brings me to this. I’m now reading Twilight.  I wouldn’t say I’m totally addicted or its a page turner book, but I would admit that it has kept my interest piqued. And I believe it has immense rereadablilty. I managed to finish half the book in one day and I wasn’t even rushing. So in my records, I would say that’s definitely a good thing and it’s a book worth reading. 3.9 out of 5 stars? 4’s too much and 3.5 does it injustice.

Besides, I really should grasp all the oppurtunity I’ve now to read before school reopens. So I’ll be expecting to get the next three books by the end of Decemeber? Something to look forward to eh?

I actually wanted to write more about how I hated to be a conversation starter when two people fall into a silence, but I suppose the rush I mentioned earlier, yup, that, has just receded. So till next time.

ok. so someone prompted me to blog. (you know who you are :p)

so here it is.

actually i’m rather reluctant to write this cause nothing much interesting had happened recently YET. As least, in my life right now it is. Was wanting to put off all my updates till a later date such as after my class chalet but alas, to live up to my reputation of a responsible blogger, i’ve decided to update. so be happy people.

as you can probably infer, my life right now is pretty uneventful. hopefully everything will turn around after the two chalets and the standard chartered cip. So right now, i’m pretty free. and yes, that’s a cue for you guys to invite me out. :p but i’m only free after late morning, do take note of that. haha. so starting messaging me. you know you want to.

anyway, today we had a 08s01 class chalet meeting. and with we, i mean FIVE people. it was pretty pathetic cause many people decided not to turn up. tsk, tsk, tsk. disappointed. but it was great fun. talking and gossiping. and i’m glad me and cm decided to turn up after our harmoc thing, or otherwise, it would be really sad. lol. so people. turn up next time. our class has yet to have an official class outing. it’s sad! so do go for the chalet and stay for as long as you can… and i still want an outing!

with that, nothing much else worth mentioning i guess.

In Conclusion.

I’ve been wanting to write this for a while now, basically for the past week but I just can’t seem to bring myself to actually do it. It’s like I’ll be on my way to school or back, and I’ll have this spur of inspiration to pen down my random thoughts here, but somehow, it just never did materialise until today.

So I actually wanted to summarise my year, even though it’s not over yet. More of my school year I guess. With that, I suppose I should warn everyone that this might be a pretty long post.
