A Fallen Star

What’s happening to the world? And I say this with a heavy heart.

Why are all the icons and talented people dying at such at young age? To name a few, does Elvis Presley and Heath Ledger ring a bell?

You can hardly imagine how shocked I was when I woke up this morning with the news that Michael Jackson had passed away. Okay, my brother plainly claimed that he was dead. So you can bet I was HECK NOT convinced until I saw it myself on the news. I was like, ‘are you kidding me?!’

So throughout the day, over the television and over the Internet, the news of his death spreaded like wildfire. And now MTV is having these reruns of his earlier works…

Honestly, despite all the controversy over his, how shall I put it, orientation(?), you’ve gotta admit that thisĀ  man has got a whole lotta talent. To this very day, I’m still in AWE as I watch the music video of Thriller or Billy Jean. And mind you, I was born in 1991. That itself is saying a lot.

Gosh, sometimes I wonder how I can write all those optimistic essays for GP; saying it’s never too late. I mean look at the world now. Pandemics, sudden deaths, natural disasters, and environmental problems (admit it, the polar ice caps are still melting even though Global Warming is said to have had eased a little). What about the nuclear weapons testing in North Korea? Maybe the world is really coming to an end as predicted. Did you know that the DOOMSDAY is said to occur at the end of 2012? So yeah, I guess life continues meanwhile eh? And while it’s really a pity that such a talented man has to die at such a young age, let’s look forward to the rise of another star. (Which hopefully will get to live to a very ripe age)

But before that, let’s observe a moment of silence for this Fallen Star. There probably wouldn’t be anyone who can ever SING and DANCE as well as he can. Not to mention the fact that he’s an INTERNATIONAL STAR. Who hasn’t heard of MICHAEL JACKSON? LITERALLY. Asia, America, Europe, he’s practically a household name WORLDWIDE.

Pity.

RIP MJ.
