Sick

I’m down with the flu. I guess it’s both a good thing and a bad thing.
On one hand, I’ll probably be healthy in the weeks to come after I’ve recovered from this; and on the other, I’ll be missing out on revision time for these few days because I’m too tired to really pay much attention to anything.
Did you know the older you get, the less likely you are to fall victim to a flu virus? There are more than a hundred types of flu viruses, and each time you recover from one, you become immune to it and thus, the less likely you are to catch one. And you don’t really catch a cold just by being exposed to the cold. It’s just that bacteria and viruses thrive better in cooler conditions.
Speaking of which, catching a cold is a good time to take all those supplements and herbs and disgustingly bitter medicines because you can’t taste anything!
Before you know it.

So over the past few days, if you’ve had been around any guys, you’ll have to be deaf to not know that the topic of converse amongst fellow males has been about NS and enlistment dates. Even on social networking sites like, Facebook and Twitter, you’ll have to be blind to miss it.
Finally received my letter today, just after I was getting frantic as to why I hadn’t received anything after everyone had seemingly been notified in one way or another. I was lamenting how the 1 year and 10 months would be a breeze, but my brother seem amused. Apparently he claims I wouldn’t be able to fathom how NS is like until I’ve experienced it myself. But hey, I did survive JC life didn’t I? And it seems like it was just yesterday that I first enter NJ. But still, the stigma… My brother was telling me he hadn’t heard of School 3, and that if it did exist, it must be at somewhere ulu. And apparently, School 2 is the nearest to the boats, so those posted there always get to book out first. And nope, I’m posted to neither, it’s number one for me. Does that mean older facilities?
Regardless, I’m sure we’ll all survive. And that goes out to the females as well for the challenge that awaits us all in 20 days time.
I’m excited, frightened, and skeptical. It seems surreal sometimes when I’m on the bus on my way home.
Here’s wishing everyone all the best in achieving self-actualisation in the remaining days.
Don’t fret, before you know it, it’ll be all over. A beuatiful ending at that.
Cry.

Just like that, 25 days are left. It’s a scary thought to entertain, no?
Time for Miracles

The premise of the film is basically about the Mayan’s prediction of an apocalypse of sorts in 2012 coming true. And it actually happens, in the film that is. Either way, the main thing is that Adam Lambert’s singing one of the songs in the film which sounds EPIC. And that, coincidentally, the title of the song does seem appropriate for the position we’re all in now.
Enjoy.

Ya right. But nonetheless, the past 2 years have been an experience of a lifetime. Done things I never thought I would, and made friends from all walks of life. It was, and will be a memorable JC life I’ve had the privilege to enjoy.
I was along the canteen extension today, and I saw a bunch of people snapping photos away like there’s no tomorrow. I guess it was then that the reality of how JC life was ending soon finally settled. For those clueless, it’s the last day of school tomorrow (for us). But truth is, things are far from over. The ‘A’s are in 32 days time, and I can’t help but wonder if I’ve done enough; or if the remaining days would be enough for me to catch up in areas I’ve fallen behind in.
And even then, that experience itself will only end on the last day of November, before we can all safely conclude that our entire JC life (academically) has finally come to an end.
If there’s one thing I really regret, it’s that our class never did have the chance to bond. And I guess we’re so used to it now we no longer find it unusual. We’ll probably go down in the history books as the nerdy, imba S01 people. Whether it’s true or not, of course requires further clarification.
I’ve been under the weather the past few days. Can’t seem to get myself motivated much. I really do miss the rain.
